Frequently Asked Questions

Clinical Fees

Dr. Charissa Chamorro is not in-network with any insurance companies. However, she can provide you with a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If you have out-of-network behavioral health benefits, services may be covered in part by your health insurance. Usually, after you meet your deductible, your insurance provider will reimburse a percentage of a rate determined by them to be reasonable. Most insurance providers cover 60% to 80% of that reasonable rate. That rate might be similar to or different than our fee so we recommend that you check your out-of-network plan for the exact coverage. Rates vary for children, adults, families, and groups so please contact us to discuss fees and scheduling prior to beginning therapy.

We offer a certain number of reduced-fee spots for people in need. If you are concerned about not being able to afford treatment, please contact us to discuss options. If we cannot accommodate you, we will do our best to provide you with appropriate referrals.

How to Check Your Out-of-Network Benefits

To check your out-of-network benefits, you will need to call the number on the front or the back of your insurance card (member services) and ask them the following questions:

  • What are my out-of-network behavioral health benefits for an office visit?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?

  • What is a reasonable rate for billing code 90791?

  • What is a reasonable rate for billing code 90834?

They will tell you the percentage of the reasonable rate they reimburse.

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. For more information, about the Good Faith Estimate click here. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards for ease of payment. We will provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance provider if you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider. Although we cannot guarantee reimbursement, you may be reimbursed for a percentage of treatment from your insurance provider based on your out-of-network behavioral health coverage.
